There's a lot of great maps and mods out there so it's hard to recommend a place to start. It also mentions a handy tool called Quake Injector which you can use to install and launch most singleplayer maps and mods. This guide has a lot more about mods and maps, and how to launch mods and run individual maps: These maps are often just distributed as a ".bsp" file, like "mymap.bsp", and you can put them in the "id1/maps" folder. ![]() There's also lots of individual add-on maps out there, which are usable without any gameplay mods. (One way to specify command-line arguments is by putting them in Steam's "launch options" for Quake.) So if you had a mod in a folder named "blah" you would activate it by launching Quake with the extra command-line argument "-game blah". ![]() Quake mods are generally something you place in a folder next to the "id1" folder, and then use a command-line argument "-game" to activate that folder. ![]()
